Bruce Flynn has nearly thirty years of human resources, health and disability policy, and risk management experience encompassing strategic risk assessment, disability management program development, human resources policy development, benefits design and management, and general liability, Workers's Compensation, and property/casualty claims management.

Currently, as Director of UCSF Risk Management and Insurance Services, University of California/San Francisco, he provides strategic risk and loss exposure analysis for general, employment, automobile, and property liability programs and develops and implements comprehensive prevention/risk reduction programs. Previously, he managed the UCSF Disability Management program, beginning work in that program in 1980. He later was appointed as the chair the first Chancellor's Americans with Disabilities Act Advisory Committee, in 1990. He also served on the Chancellor's AIDS Task Force, receiving the Chancellor's Special Service Award in 1996 for the group's groundbreaking efforts to educate staff about HIV/AIDS.

From 1998 - 2004, he was a senior consultant with the Washington, DC office of Watson Wyatt Worldwide, on health, disability, and risk management program design and management issues. He also provided policy and legislative advocacy regarding workplace health, disability, and productivity issues as director for the Washington Business Group on Health, a large DC-based nonprofit representing Fortune 500 employers. He also managed disability and benefits programs for Wells Fargo Bank (1992-1996).

He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the North and South of Market Adult Day Health Program, the largest San Francisco day health program serving disabled adults and seniors, where he advises the organization on strategic development.

He earned his Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from San Francisco State University and his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan. He is a professional member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society and the Disability Management Employer Coalition.
